Ghraybeh (Palestine)

In this series I'll be starting where it all began, and traveling westward! As I had to limit the number of recipes to 16, some countries will get overlooked, while some desserts belong equally to several countries. This is the case with Ghraybeh, which are widespread in the Levant, but in Palestine are made specially for Christmas.
Note that the finished shortbreads are quite brittle and should be handled with care!
